About The Position

STEP, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Groundskeeper to join its Facilities and Maintenance team. The role helps maintain and enhance agency facilities and grounds while supporting the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of employees, clients, and visitors. It is described as a year-round position with a consistent schedule. The pay rate is $16.63 per hour. The position involves a variety of groundskeeping, maintenance, and facility-support work, including regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions and physically active tasks. Duties may include standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying materials, working in confined spaces such as attics or crawlspaces, and wearing required safety equipment. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience or technical training in landscaping, lawn care, groundskeeping, snow removal, or related maintenance work.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to perform physically active tasks, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying materials, and working in confined spaces.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and wear required safety equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain agency grounds through mowing, mulching, raking, pruning, and general landscaping.
Perform snow and ice removal, including shoveling, salting, and maintaining safe walkways.
Assist with facility cleaning and janitorial responsibilities as needed.
Conduct preventative maintenance and care of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment.
Help maintain building exteriors and complete general maintenance tasks.
Move furniture and assist with office relocations when needed.
Identify and address potential safety concerns to help ensure a secure environment.
Complete work orders, project documentation, and required records.
Work independently and as part of a team to support facility operations.
