Position Summary Antora Energy is hiring a Manager of Facilities and Equipment to be the internal owner of our facilities, capital equipment, and physical operating environment across multiple Bay Area sites. This is a hands-on leadership role: leading multi-site planning, capital project delivery, and EHS compliance while directly improving site readiness, equipment uptime, and safety. The Manager partners with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, EHS, IT, and Security — and with external OEMs, riggers, contractors, and rental vendors — and will lead the evolution of Antora's facilities function from contractor-supported toward internally led as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities/Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8–10 years of progressive facilities, capital equipment, or plant engineering experience, including 2+ years leading a team.
  • Multi-site facilities and equipment management experience in a hardware, manufacturing, semiconductor, biotech, or heavy-R&D environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical (208V/480V), process gases, HVAC, cooling water/chillers, and wastewater systems.
  • Experience leading capital equipment installation end-to-end and navigating Bay Area permitting (BAAQMD, SV Haz Mat, local building/fire) or equivalent.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI tools and willingness to lean into AI-driven facilities and asset management solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on familiarity with semiconductor, cleanroom, or thermal/energy tooling (e.g., coat tracks, evaporators, dicing tools, HF benches, fume hoods).
  • Experience implementing CMMS / asset management programs and preparing facilities for audits or investor due-diligence.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, CFM, FMP, SFP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal owner of facilities, capital equipment, and infrastructure across all Antora environments; lead planning, budgeting, and capital roadmapping.
  • Establish policies and standards (PM, change management, vendor onboarding, safety), manage internal facilities technicians and external contractors
  • Participate in lease negotiations for new and existing San Jose area facilities. Ensure facilities activities are in compliance with lease terms.
  • Own infrastructure across electrical (208V/480V), HVAC, exhaust, process gases (N2, compressed air), DI/distilled water and cooling loops, and wastewater.
  • Run preventative maintenance (PM) and reliability programs across all sites; maintain site diagrams, equipment registers, and asset inventories.
  • Diagnose and repair basic issues with capital and building infrastructure equipment. Maintain an adequate stock of equipment spares.
  • Monitor facilities resource usage (Utilities, propane, nitrogen, etc): suggest upgrades to meet cost targets and ensure facilities meet operational requirements.
  • Own installation, relocation, and commissioning of capital equipment — including but not limited to CNC mills, coat tracks, fume hoods, evaporators, HF benches, dicing tools, cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment.
  • Lead site-prep and tie-ins (concrete, anchoring, power and gas drops, exhaust, cooling water); run capital projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support EHS with facility-level compliance with BAAQMD air permits, Silicon Valley hazardous materials, wastewater discharge, and building/fire/life-safety codes; manage relationships with city inspectors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Partner with EHS to enforce safety standards (LOTO, machine guarding, gas detection) and lead corrective action on facility and equipment safety issues.
  • Own the material handling fleet (forklifts, telehandlers, lifts, cranes, hoists, tuggers) and rental relationships; ensure operator certifications and PMs are current.
  • Own physical security and access control (badging, visitor parking, CCTV, alarms, fencing)
  • Partner on facilities related workplace ticketing workflows.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and R&D to align facility readiness with EVT/DVT builds and production ramps;
  • Partner with IT on site networks and AV infrastructure installations.
  • Partner with Business Operations to provide input on building cleanliness/janitorial services for all facilities; support office space buildout; support insurance inspections/visits and diligence, monitoring and benchmarking of ESG (Environmental Social Governance).
