About The Position

Sodexo Universities Facilities segment is seeking a Facilities Manager to support our longstanding facilities contract at University of Tampa covering 4M sq ft and 110 acres in Tampa, FL. This role will oversee a staff of 6 - 10 maintenance, custodial and grounds employees. The Facilities Manager will manage the day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring the highest level of service quality while actively mentoring and developing of the facilities team. They will ensure high quality, service, and problem resolution while managing quality assurance and safety programs, and ensure compliance with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. The role also involves evaluating, identifying, and implementing new ideas, technologies or process improvements to increase organizational efficiencies and cost savings. This position supervises hourly staff providing facilities maintenance and engineering services to clients and is responsible for work force planning, QA training, and administrative functions of the designated area of supervision.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of successful Integrated Facilities Management leadership experience including maintenance, housekeeping, and construction/project management.
  • 5+ years of Facilities management experience preferably in a university setting or other large complex properties.
  • Knowledge in the Building and Mechanical Trades to include mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, Carpentry, etc. and strong background in training and developing the team.
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills.
  • Experience working with outside vendors and subcontractors.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building.
  • Solid experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management systems for work orders and reporting and Building Automated Systems for large equipment.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
