About The Position

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Fairway Knoll is seeking a hands-on Facilities Engineer to help create a safe and secure environment by maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment safely and efficiently, in accordance with regulations, established policies, procedures, and best practices. The role involves working independently and participating in team initiatives to carry out assignments from site leadership. The position is based at Fairway Knoll, an assisted living and memory care community in Germantown, Wisconsin. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with participation in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation. The reported salary range is $25.90–$29.64 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
Ability to work independently, multitask, follow directions, and work under supervision.
Ability to relate well to customers and provide professional service and a professional image.
Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with customers.
Ability to participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Carry out assigned building and grounds responsibilities as defined by site leadership.
Repair buildings and equipment and troubleshoot complex problems.
Work with contractors and vendors.
Maintain life safety systems.
Perform preventive maintenance routines and complete daily work orders.
Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Perform painting and apartment turns.
Respond to customer requests.
Perform snow removal.
Complete other projects as assigned.
Participate in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation, consisting of one week on call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.
