About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Engineer to support our Plant 5 manufacturing and processing operations by driving equipment reliability, optimizing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, scheduling, safety, and other engineering teams to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency with an emphasis on delivery. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance/facilities or engineering in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Good understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic and their relationship to electrical control.
  • Good understanding of chemical cleaning processes and chemical waste disposal.
  • Good mechanical aptitude (piping, layouts, structural, etc.) and blueprint reading capabilities.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodics, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills.
  • Past experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works with strong attention to details
  • Previous experience with managing projects and working with outside contractors.
  • Good work ethic and adherence to safety protocols and culture
  • Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.
  • Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
  • Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
  • Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
  • Directs the operation of the physical facility functions including equipment installations and service functions for facility (includes safety and outside contractors).
  • Plans, formulates and administers various engineering programs.
  • Designs and facilitates capital projects within the facility.
  • May supervise departmental and/or maintenance employees.
  • Develops, trains and motivates; make job assignments, and follows contract and/or company policies.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
  • Oversees maintenance of facility and equipment.
  • Performs equipment and project design.
  • Plans and supervises project work.
  • Provides manufacturing support to business centers.
  • Performs cost estimating.
  • Troubleshoots equipment.
  • Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
  • Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.
