About The Position

Mach Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Electrician to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing complex electrical work in our facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as an electrician in a facilities management or industrial/commercial environment.
  • Proven experience with complex electrical systems and high-level troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including 480V equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety practices, LOTO, and NFPA 70E.
  • California General Electrician Certification, or other qualifying electrical credentials appropriate to the work performed.
  • Ability to work onsite and support occasional off-hours maintenance or emergency response.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Solid understanding of PLCs, motor control, and building management systems (BMS) is a plus.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license as required by local regulations.
  • OSHA and other relevant safety certifications.
  • Must possess a valid class C drivers license.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
  • Must be comfortable lifting moderate weights and working in physically demanding conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time to support Mach Industries' various facilities and operational sites.
  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of progressive electrical experience, preferably within industrial manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or R&D environments.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation systems.
  • Experience supporting prototype equipment, manufacturing equipment commissioning, and factory infrastructure expansion.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • NFPA 70E electrical safety training.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms.
  • Experience supporting electrical infrastructure upgrades and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems, including 120V/208V/240V/480V distribution systems.
  • Support electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, circuit breakers, receptacles, lighting, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose electrical failures and restore equipment functionality while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation (i.e. as-builts) of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance activities.
  • Support electrical installations and modifications associated with new manufacturing equipment, production lines, and prototype systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams to identify and execute electrical infrastructure requirements.
  • Assist with electrical connections, power distribution, equipment relocations, and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues involving motors, motor controls, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial equipment.
  • Assist with factory-floor buildouts and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Perform electrical work in accordance with applicable NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA/Cal-OSHA, and local electrical requirements.
  • Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safe-work practices.
  • Inspect electrical equipment for unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure electrical installations maintain proper grounding, bonding, overcurrent protection, and equipment guarding.
  • Coordinate with Facilities & EHS to support electrical safety inspections and corrective-action closure.
  • Respond to electrical maintenance requests, equipment failures, and urgent facility needs.
  • Support the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment history, and corrective actions within the facility's CMMS.
  • Coordinate with outside electrical contractors and vendors on larger installations, repairs, and infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain electrical tools, test equipment, spare parts, and related inventory.
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies to minimize downtime.
  • Perform duties outside the traditional scope of an electrician, including general facilities maintenance, equipment repairs, minor installations, troubleshooting, and other technician-related tasks as operational needs require.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support broader Facilities & Infrastructure initiatives while working within qualifications and applicable safety requirements.
