About The Position

At Simple Mining, we operate large-scale data centers that power next-generation digital infrastructure. We're looking for a hands-on Facilities & Electrical Maintenance Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with industrial electrical systems, and keeping critical operations running reliably. This is not a desk job. You'll spend your time troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining facility infrastructure, supporting deployments, transporting equipment between sites, and helping ensure our facilities operate safely and efficiently. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of facilities, industrial, or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of three-phase electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with 240V and 480V three-phase systems.
  • Experience with VFDs, transformers, motor controls, and industrial power distribution.
  • Experience in data centers, manufacturing, industrial facilities, energy, or mining operations.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar certifications.
  • Forklift, trailer, or equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Replace and maintain three-phase power distribution equipment, breakers, disconnects, VFDs, motors, and related infrastructure.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and infrastructure inspections.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety standards.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades and reliability improvement projects.
  • Work alongside electrical contractors, utility providers, and vendors during maintenance and installation projects.
  • Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, exhaust fans, and other building systems.
  • Conduct facility inspections and identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Support equipment installations, facility improvements, and deployment projects.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and operational issues across company locations.
  • Transport tools, equipment, materials, and supplies between facilities.
  • Load, secure, and unload equipment safely.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Coordinate deliveries and logistics with operations and warehouse teams.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety programs.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE and safe work practices.
  • Identify and report safety concerns and operational risks.
  • Participate in safety training, meetings, and emergency response activities.
