About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, directing, monitoring, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of multiple large facilities/grounds/locations spread over multiple counties. This includes managing multiple quarters, Salvation Army buildings, vehicle fleet, grounds, and equipment, and supervising 4 or more employees in Facilities Operations. The role also coordinates, directs, implements, and evaluates the full range of Facilities Operations, Maintenance, Security, and Auto fleet. Ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards, maintains an inventory of all Salvation Army property, and administers a departmental budget.

Requirements

  • Two-year college or technical school degree in Business Management or a related field AND Five years progressively responsible experience supervising thrift store operations, Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Plans, supervises, coordinates, directs, monitors and evaluates the day-to-day operations with multiple large facilities/grounds/locations spread over multiple counties including multiple quarters, Salvation Army buildings, vehicle fleet, grounds, and equipment; includes supervision of 4 or more employees in Facilities Operations.
  • Coordinates, directs, implements and evaluates the full range of Facilities Operations, Maintenance, Security, Auto fleet
  • Ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; maintains an inventory of all Salvation Army property and administers a departmental budget.
  • Provides the necessary management skills in order to effectively plan for work loads and deadlines.
  • Supervises, coordinates, assigns, monitors, audits, and evaluates the work of all departmental staff.
  • Oversees new construction of TSA properties.
  • Work with Business Manager on Budgeting, bidding & approval process.
  • Oversees management of all Salvation Army vehicles including, but no limited to, preventative maintenance and vehicle records.
