About The Position

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a dependable, quality-focused and experienced Facilities Director for Marlborough Apartments, a 227-home senior community in a historic building in downtown Baltimore. The Facilities Director is responsible for the prompt and efficient completion of tasks assigned by the Community Director and Regional Vice President, and for continuously improving their skills and expertise. The role works with the Community Director to manage maintenance and capital improvements, maintain equipment and property, and uphold community standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of property maintenance experience.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• HVAC certification.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Provide own tools.
• Be able to report for regularly scheduled work hours and physically walk throughout the property, including stairs, lift heavy items, and perform other physical tasks regularly and as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Community Director to manage maintenance-related and capital improvement activities at the property.
• Inspect, schedule, and perform routine preventive maintenance on appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Community Director.
• Assist management staff with implementing policies, standards, procedures, and programs related to property maintenance and upkeep.
• Communicate effectively with employees, residents, vendors, and coworkers.
• Complete work orders promptly, within 24 hours, and efficiently.
• Share on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
• Complete other related tasks assigned by the Community Director.
• Continuously improve skills and expertise.
