About The Position

As an intern with Textron, you’ll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You’ll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways – working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success. The Facilities Coordinator Intern will work closely with the Facilities team in a variety of activities necessary to manage and maintain buildings/infrastructure, leased properties, vehicle fleets, capital equipment, office space, and utilities/energy.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time, priority setting, and project management skills
  • Sharp eye for detail
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate small project facility renovations & repairs.
  • Develop and provide associated project budgets, project schedules, and project status.
  • Assist with administration of company fleet vehicle program.
  • Assist with processing purchase orders and payments in support of facilities projects, office space relocations, lease payments, and other projects as needed.
  • Support energy conservation projects and efforts.
  • Organize and maintain department’s central Facility files and information.
  • Create, maintain, and update departmental procedures and standard work documentation.
  • Take on project management responsibility or administrative functions within the organization as assigned and performs other work involving Support Services administration as needed.
