About The Position

The Facilities Controls Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control systems within the facilities organization. This role requires interfacing with multiple disciplines to accomplish defined tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of critical control systems.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic control diagrams.
• Knowledge of control devices and instrumentation, including sensors and transducers.
• Knowledge of field wiring.
• Knowledge and experience on the design, programming, and installation of PLCs.
• Knowledge and experience on the design, programming, and installation of VFDs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven team player and self-starter.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• A.S. degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or Licensed Electrician with similar controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain existing control systems, including GE PLC systems, Square D PLC systems, and SCADA systems.
• Design and development of Allen Bradley Control Systems.
• Interface and work with Engineering, Safety, and maintenance staff on controls problems.
• Learn area critical control systems.
• Assist with requested maintenance and equipment maintenance as needed.
