About The Position

The Fremont New Facilities Construction Project Manager is part of Lam Research’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) organization. GWS delivers safe, sustainable, and high-value solutions that enable Lam’s business operations, including new construction, real estate, space planning, and utility infrastructure. As the Fremont site Construction Project Manager, you will lead delivery of a major capital project, including a semiconductor cleanroom and central utilities facility. You will be accountable for end-to-end project execution—from initiation through completion—ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership across cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, construction, and business stakeholders, while driving alignment, risk management, and disciplined execution on a large-scale, complex program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s with 10+ years; or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of project or program management experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Semiconductor industry or global supplier experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, schedule, and budget, including site feasibility and land use planning.
  • Lead and coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, track spend, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Develop and manage schedules, monitor progress, and resolve variances.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to executive leadership, project teams, and internal customers.
  • Ensure construction meets design intent, quality standards, and code requirements.
  • Manage contracts and support procurement of contractors, vendors, and long-lead equipment.
  • Identify risks, remove obstacles, and lead teams to resolve complex challenges.
  • Deliver project status, financial reporting, and actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project delivery processes aligned with business strategy.
  • Manage project changes and ensure proper project closeout.
