Facilities Construction Manager
About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Construction Manager to manage facility construction or rehabilitation projects. This role involves coordination with designers, contractors, field staff, and sub-consultants. The position may require coordination on Federal construction projects with agencies such as GSA, NPS, USACE, NAVFAC, and FBI. Experience in Transit and Rail is encouraged. Responsibilities include technical proposal development and an understanding of business development, including Federal Procurement, which is considered a value-add. This role offers a career opportunity within JMT's growing federal construction management sector. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for TN visa classification.
Requirements
- Experience managing facility construction or rehabilitation projects
- Coordination with designers and contractors
- Coordination with assigned field staff and sub-consultants
- Experience with Federal construction projects (GSA, NPS, USACE, NAVFAC, FBI)
- Technical proposal development
- Understanding of business development and Federal Procurement

Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, architects/engineers, and contractors
- Manage and coordinate inspection staff
- Manage project schedule from inception to close out
- Run project job-site meetings
- Review contractor work in place to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices
- Efficient change order management and cost control
- Report on project issues and provide status updates
- Perform other duties as may be required
