About The Position

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Construction Manager to be responsible for managing large-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities. The role involves providing construction project oversight, ensuring strict adherence to contract documents, acting as a technical advisor, and mentoring less experienced team members. The Construction Manager will be responsible for delivering assigned projects within scope, schedule, and budget. Immigration sponsorship is not available, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments.
  • Ability to ensure work is performed and completed in strict accordance with contract documents.
  • Ability to act as a technical advisor.
  • Ability to teach and mentor less experienced engineers and team members.
  • Ability to deliver assigned projects including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ability to develop Project Management Plans (PMP).
  • Ability to provide construction management oversight.
  • Ability to create and maintain project schedules.
  • Ability to prepare and update cost estimates.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain project budgets.
  • Ability to develop and implement project specific QA programs.
  • Ability to manage sub-consultants and technical resources.
  • Ability to coordinate and interface with the client and project team.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate inspection staff.
  • Ability to manage project schedule from inception to close out.
  • Ability to run project job-site meetings.
  • Ability to review contractor work in place to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Ability to review and approve contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
  • Ability to manage change orders and cost control.
  • Ability to report on project issues and provide status updates.
  • Ability to develop and prepare extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.

Responsibilities
