About The Position

BEAT THE BOMB is the next generation of immersive group entertainment, where customers step into real-life video games. They use an innovative digital, interactive game system to reimagine the intersection of technology and human social connection. Their classic Mission experience involves teams wearing hazmat suits going through interactive game rooms, including a laser maze, before facing the World's Largest Paint, Slime, and Foam Bomb! The original Brooklyn location opened in 2018, and they now have locations in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Charlotte, Houston, and Denver, having hosted over 500,000 players. Beat The Bomb is one of the highest rated experiences in all 5 markets and offers special event services like STEM Camps, Kid and Adult Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. They also have a virtual team building platform called Beat The Bomb Virtual. The #1 goal is to ensure every player has a BLAST! The Philadelphia location, opening in Fall 2024 in Center City, is the Company's 4th location. This 10,000+ square foot venue will offer classic Mission experiences with glass-walled bomb rooms, 5 immersive arcade lounges ('Game Bays'), street food and a full selection of beverages at The Bomb Bar, a beer garden with sports viewing, and dedicated private event spaces for large groups. The Facilities team is responsible for the laundry room, cleaning crew, washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pan and restrooms. This includes cleaning all areas of the establishment, organizing and cleaning all items responsible for game play such as hazmat suits, aprons, towels, shoe covers, etc., and maintaining the cleanliness of the BOH and FOH spaces in accordance with BTB standards. This position works in close collaboration with management, kitchen team, and FOH crew and must adhere to established health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Washing all hazmat suits, shoe covers, towels, linen, aprons, and other items as needed
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pan, by hand or using dishwashing machine using extra care to not break the dishes.
Operating heavy-duty commercial size washer and dryers
Maintain kitchen work areas and equipment and utensils in a clean, orderly condition.
Clean all food preparation areas and equipment Place clean dishes, glassware and utensils in racks or in storage areas
Remove trash, recycling and used linens and place in designated areas
Responsible for the overall cleaning and maintenance of the facility
Sweeping, mopping, and overall upkeep of the general spaces within the facility. BOH and FOH guest and employee areas. Not limited to certain area(s) but the overall facility
Clean and sanitize garbage cans, mirrors, kitchen, bar equipment and all bathroom fixtures on a regular basis
Clean dish machine and other equipment
Clean up broken dishes and glassware and spills immediately, collaborating with other FOH department area to maintain the cleanliness of the venue
Perform open, closing, ongoing side work, and beautification lists
Abide by sanitation, health, and company guidelines concerning safety and cleanliness
Attend meetings and trainings as requested, including pre-shift meetings
Assist with training of new staff
Adhere to grooming, conduct and uniform standards
Other duties as required
