About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness. This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position will require the safe use of power equipment. Employees should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Possess a high school or equivalency diploma
Possess a valid New York State driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory experience
Experience operating power equipment

Responsibilities

Performs routine building maintenance as appropriate.
Performs minor repairs in the warehouse and office spaces.
Ensures scheduled maintenance is performed on refrigeration, forklifts, doors, etc.
Monitors the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including offices, conference rooms, warehouse, and parking lots.
Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside contractors/vendors.
Oversees the work of contractors and vendors. Builds and maintains positive and effective working relationships with contractors and vendors.
Prepares the facility for changing or inclement weather conditions.
Oversees and serves as the trainer for powered equipment training.
Supports fiscal responsibility while staying within the budget.
Maintains warehouse sanitation, health, and safety standards following guidelines from Feeding America, AIB, New York State, the USDA, and other regulatory bodies.
Inspects power equipment prior to use.
Follows all safety standards and procedures.
Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
