About The Position

The Facilities Associate reports directly to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of building and office premises and the clinical environment. This role ensures that all facilities operations are in accordance with established company policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as in compliance with local and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing repairs and maintenance of building and office premises and clinic environment.
  • Must have A/B license to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or heavier.
  • Effective team player with very good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to work and relate well with co-employees, patients, and customers.
  • Must have behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy, and tact in addressing complex situations and handling irate customers.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Basic familiarity with federal and state laws and requirements relating to healthcare management.
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in using MS Office programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Certification is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facilities Manager in conducting facility planning functions, including ocular inspections, property evaluation and selection, and lease acquisition and disposition.
  • Conduct studies and research to generate, validate, and analyze information on employment and business growth to provide management with recommendations for future facility and office space requirements.
  • Provide assistance in undertaking construction, expansion, and facility improvements, and manage project timelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate project management updates to concerned team members, managers, and customers for proper coordination.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance duties related to electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, air-conditioning, painting, and machinery/equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Materials Department to direct and guide the work activities of accredited contractors and vendors for installations, set-ups, and repairs.
  • Develop internal systems and control procedures to efficiently respond to work order requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent requests.
  • Keep customers updated on the status of all pending work order requests.
  • Perform setting-up and installation of all facility-related requirements for company-sponsored events, conferences, fairs, and trade shows.
  • Perform timely and accurate maintenance on utility plant systems and maintain a complete audit trail.
  • Conduct employee response to safety procedures training for new hires and semi-annually.
  • Develop and implement the Business Continuity Plan Disaster Readiness and act as the disaster coordinator during force majeure events.
  • Maintain and coordinate all inspections and certifications required by government and federal agencies.
  • Conduct training for N95 Fit-Test and Certification, maintain original sign-in sheets, and maintain Medical Evaluation questionnaires in accordance with OSHA 29CFR regulations.
