Facilities Associate (Skilled)
About The Position
This position is responsible for the basic safety, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with the utility plant and distribution system serving the UNMC /Neb Med campus. The role involves operating and shutting down boilers and their auxiliaries, chillers and their auxiliaries, generators and their auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room. The position is also responsible for the operation and monitoring of the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system serving the UNMC /Neb Med campus. Additionally, the role includes performing preventative and routine maintenance as assigned.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience
Responsibilities
- Operate and shut down boilers and their auxiliaries
- Operate and shut down chillers and their auxiliaries
- Operate and shut down generators and their auxiliaries
- Operate and shut down all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room
- Operate and monitor the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance as assigned
