About The Position

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for Facilities maintenance inside and outside on the buildings.

Requirements

• Operate a fork lift, pallet jack, riding tractor, hydraulic recycle baler, trash compactor, snow plow, and various other powered tools and hand tools.
• Must be able to perform equipment pre-startup inspection forms and follow all safety requirements for the equipment based on manufacturers recommendations.
• Load/unload equipment, materials, recyclables and other material handling tasks.
• Maintain buildings and grounds. Washing, sweeping, trash pickup, painting, trimming, and shoveling.
• Other maintenance related tasks as needed.
• Communication Skills: verbal and written; must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Powered Industrial Truck license
• PA driver's license
• Must be able to read reports and use a computer
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with others and talk on the phone.
• Standing/Walking
• Finger/Grasping/Feeling Must be able to write, type file, turn pages and use phone system

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
