Today Toledo Tool & Die has three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio. Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Facilities Assistant to our team to support our continued growth. Hours for this position are typically: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, janitorial, or a related role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine facility maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, patching, basic carpentry, and general upkeep.
  • Perform basic equipment and building inspections and report issues to plant leadership.
  • Support facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, storage rooms, and common spaces.
  • Perform basic groundskeeping or exterior maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with setting up rooms for meetings, events, or operational needs.
  • Respond to facility-related requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
  • Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope / position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
  • Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental processes and requirements applicable to their role.
