About The Position

Performs general facility and maintenance duties, provides production support and assists in sanitation control within a one level 45,500 square foot facility. We're 21st century artisans - utilizing state-of-the-art technology and old-world craftsmanship to provide precision metal bars, pre-production blanks and material preparation services to companies machining high precision components for a host of industries like medical device and automotive - helping them achieve success through streamlined operational excellence.

Requirements

• Physically able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, push, pull and reach.
• Ability to speak/read and write in English

Nice To Haves

• Some custodial experience preferred.
• Current or previous forklift certification
• Ability to problem solve and consciously looking toward continuous improvement in role
• Proficient when responding to inquiries

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and janitorial duties and limited grounds maintenance
• Performs scheduled custodial duties as directed by engineering manager, including trash/recycling removal, floor cleaning, paper towel/hand soap/toilet paper distribution and inventory management, and monthly changing of water filters in break rooms.
• Performs various Production Support activities including changing air filters on RTU's and Mistbuster units, managing used mop head and oil rag accumulation for exchange, and coolant solvent and oil inventory management.
• Oversees break area to ensure coffee machines and supplies are properly stocked, cleaned and maintained.
• Keeps department supplies neat and orderly, and reports supply orders to Engineering Manager.
• Reports needs for major repairs to Engineering Manager.
• Performs other duties as required.
