Facilities and Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to TAE Facilities. Warehousing. Clearing out and consolidating items in the warehouse. Working with vendors to find the best solution for Disposing or Recycling of TAE Assets. Assist management in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs. Follow a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs. Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes. Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices. Act in a professional and courteous manner always with co-workers, vendors, etc. Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Ability to do building maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience and technical training.
- Class C Driver’s License
- High school graduate or GED required
- Forklift and Pallet Jack experience required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software such as inventory control and asset management programs.
- Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use.
Nice To Haves
- technical school training in maintenance related courses is preferred.
- Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications and written operational procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations.
