About The Position

PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. We are looking for energetic, results-driven individuals to join our rapidly growing team and industry. The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate-to-advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across the facility’s building systems, equipment, grounds, and infrastructure. This role supports daily operations within a highly regulated cannabis production environment and plays a key part in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance. The Technician II works closely with the Facility Manager and other site teams to complete preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and coordinate with contractors when specialized service is required. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, exposure to HVAC systems, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to problem solving. This role may occasionally require after-hours or weekend support to address urgent maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of facility, industrial, or commercial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in one or more trades: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • CMMS experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, trade school, or certifications in maintenance-related fields preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to work in both office and production environments, including greenhouses.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, or humid environments as necessary.
  • Regular and punctual attendance required; overtime may be necessary based on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to HVAC systems preferred.
  • Technical training, trade school, or certifications in maintenance-related fields preferred (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and site-specific protocols.
  • Properly use PPE and tools when working on energized, mechanical, or pressurized systems.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately.
  • Support continuous improvement of workplace safety practices.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building systems including plumbing, lighting, doors, structural elements, and grounds.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpentry repairs, patching, and equipment upkeep.
  • Assist with snow removal, exterior upkeep, and general site cleanliness as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, fans, and mechanical components.
  • Perform basic electrical work including replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, and circuit troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Assist with control system troubleshooting when directed.
  • Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and intermediate repairs on HVAC systems (RTUs, mini-splits, heaters, air handlers).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues using proper tools and documentation.
  • Replace motors, contactors, capacitors, belts, bearings, and other common HVAC components.
  • Support leak identification and refrigerant handling when certified, and coordinate complex repairs with qualified vendors.
  • Assist with HVAC controls troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, and recommendations for reliability and efficiency.
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules and document all work performed.
  • Maintain CMMS logs, service documentation, and equipment history.
  • Identify recurring problems and recommend improvements.
  • Support Facility Manager during vendor visits by escorting, monitoring work, and ensuring compliance with site policies.
  • Communicate clearly with contractors about repair needs and scope.
  • Maintain clean maintenance shops, storage rooms, and workspaces.
  • Ensure tools and parts are properly secured and stored.
  • Assist other departments with maintenance-related needs as requested.
  • Participate in rotating on-call or after-hours response as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support site operations.
