About The Position

The Facilities & Fleet Coordinator – Regional is responsible for completing daily tasks intended to preserve the good condition of infrastructure at AMH’s facilities in their region (currently “east” and “west”), and ensuring that those facilities are safe and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and efficient, with exceptional communication and time-management skills. The goal is to ensure that the facilities and vehicles which serve the organization are problem-free and safe, so that employees can work under the best conditions.

  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve program goals.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, subordinate staff, patient and the public.
  • Skill in organizing work, delegating and achieving goals and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards patients, as well as strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, the capacity to function independently and the ability to document meticulously.
  • A valid driver’s license with clear driving record
  • Ability to manage and supervise various positions and relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as have a passion for working with at-risk, culturally diverse populations.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret program guidelines and service materials.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities and fleet operations

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly checks of facilities and grounds in their region
  • Identify any repairs or improvements needed at facilities in their region
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Work with Practice Supervisors to maintain a clean, functioning medical practice
  • Supervise facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
  • Oversee activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, etc. at direction of the COO
  • Inspect and ensure preventative maintenance has been properly completed by third party vendors
  • Maintain good working relationships with vendors and ensure that they uphold AMH’s standards.
  • Oversee the use of external storage spaces at direction of the COO.
  • Perform weekly inspections of company vehicles
  • Oversee routine and emergency maintenance and cleanliness of company vehicles
  • Assist with annual training needs of all AMH team members operating a company vehicle (ensure compliance with annual training, active driver’s licensure)
  • Assist with administrative tasks (mileage reconciliation, vehicle calendar, etc.)
