About The Position
Pyxis helps youth — many in foster care — facing mental and behavioral health challenges. We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Facilities and Fleet Technician to keep our program homes and company vehicles safe, functional, and running smoothly.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass all background checks
- General maintenance and basic automotive knowledge
- Comfortable with hand/power tools and basic tech (smartphone, computer)
- Reliable, coachable, and willing to ask questions and learn
Nice To Haves
- carpentry
- HVAC
- ASE certification
- experience working with youth populations
Responsibilities
- Handle general property repairs — plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, basic carpentry, and flooring
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on homes and vehicles
- Complete oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and other routine vehicle service
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using code readers and diagnostic tools
- Document work orders, repairs, and service records
- Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent facility or fleet needs
