We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Support Technician to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficient performance of our facility’s low‑voltage electrical systems, mechanical infrastructure, and telecommunications equipment—supporting the manufacturing environment that keeps our customers moving forward. Position Summary The Facilities Support Technician is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting work with a focus on low-voltage electrical systems (<480VAC), mechanical equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure. This role ensures that facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting daily operations and long-term asset performance. The technician will diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, support preventive maintenance efforts, and assist with new installations while adhering to all regulatory, safety, and internal standards. Low Voltage Electrical Maintenance (<480 VAC) Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage electrical systems including lighting, receptacles, control circuits, and equipment connections. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, distribution equipment, breakers, and switchgear. Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, test instruments, and wiring schematics. Support updates to facility power distribution systems, including load balancing and circuit identification/labeling. Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA standards, and safety practices including LOTO and PPE. Mechanical Systems Support Perform basic mechanical maintenance on facility systems such as HVAC equipment, pumps, compressors, exhaust systems, and production machinery support components. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues including belts, bearings, motors, and gear drives. Support preventive maintenance programs and document activities. Install or relocate mechanical equipment and perform light fabrication or hardware installation. Telecommunications Installation & Troubleshooting Install, terminate, test, and repair structured cabling systems including Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, coax, and fiber. Assist with maintaining network racks, patch panels, and cable management. Troubleshoot communication and network issues using toners, testers, and fiber equipment. Support deployment of VoIP phones, wireless access points, switches, and facility IT hardware. Ensure installations meet TIA/EIA and internal standards. General Facilities Duties Respond to work orders promptly and document maintenance activities. Assist with building maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, locks, ceiling tiles, and general upkeep. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs and projects. Participate in safety audits and OSHA compliance efforts. Support emergency response during equipment failures or facility shutdowns.
