About The Position

Facilitator will be responsible for running weekly group sessions emphasizing healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home school and the community. At a minimum, Facilitator will have experience with group intervention for young people coupled with an ability to relate to youth and families reflecting diverse culture and ethnicity. With the Director, Advocates, and other staff as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the program participants are addressed. Based on the selected curriculum, develop content and activities for group intervention Facilitate weekly group classes following the schedule established for the program. Work with the program team to develop and implement a system of incentives and rewards for program participant. Administer pre and posttest to program participants and work together with the program team to evaluate results.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience preferred that is related to selected instructional topics.
  • Knowledge of community resources, local employment opportunities, and college or training programs in New Jersey.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance coverage required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
