About The Position

The K–12 Pathway Engagement Facilitator provides districtwide leadership for enrichment and elective pathways, including Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music, Band/Orchestra, World Languages, and Career & Technical Education (CTE). The Facilitator supports implementation of district-adopted curriculum, ensures vertical alignment of K–12 scope and sequence, and assists teachers with curriculum internalization, lesson design, and standards-based instruction. Through classroom observations, instructional coaching, lesson modeling, and professional learning, the Facilitator supports effective curriculum implementation, high-impact instructional strategies, performance-based assessment, student engagement, skill progression, differentiation, and literacy integration within pathway content areas. The role also leads cross-school collaboration and supports the development of strong elementary programming that builds foundational skills and student interest for sustained participation in secondary pathways. The Facilitator collaborates with teachers, principals, counselors, and district leaders to strengthen pathway coherence, feeder alignment, and long-term program sustainability. Responsibilities include monitoring participation, retention, achievement, and enrollment trends; developing strategies to support program growth; identifying barriers to pathway continuation; and supporting scheduling structures that promote student access and pathway progression. The Facilitator provides regular reports on program health, partners with school leaders on staffing and resource alignment, serves as a liaison for pathway-related partnerships, and contributes to strategic planning efforts designed to increase student participation, strengthen middle-to-high school enrollment retention, and ensure high-quality pathway experiences from elementary through high school. Provides districtwide leadership within a specific content area or instructional focus to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned teaching and learning. Leads curriculum development, professional learning, and instructional alignment efforts while building educator capacity and supporting continuous improvement across schools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Valid state teaching license
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of successful teaching experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, instructional design, or content-area leadership
  • Experience designing and facilitating professional learning at the school or district level
  • Strong background in data analysis and instructional improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field
  • Experience leading district-level initiatives or cross-school work
  • Deep expertise in a specific content area (e.g., Humanities, STEM, Literacy)
  • Experience supporting instructional material adoption or implementation
  • Knowledge of state standards and assessment systems (e.g., Colorado Academic Standards)

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, refinement, and alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment within assigned content area
  • Serve as district content expert and resource for schools and leadership
  • Promote research-based, culturally responsive instructional practices
  • Design and facilitate districtwide professional learning aligned to content standards and instructional priorities
  • Provide coaching and support to teachers, instructional leaders, and teams
  • Develop teacher leaders and content specialists across schools
  • Support implementation of district-adopted instructional materials and resources
  • Monitor instructional trends and fidelity of implementation across schools
  • Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grade levels
  • Support development and alignment of common assessments
  • Analyze district and state data to identify trends, gaps, and priorities
  • Guide data-driven instructional planning and improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with school leaders and district departments (e.g., Special Education, ELD, GT)
  • Support alignment of instructional initiatives and district priorities
  • Contribute to strategic planning and improvement efforts

Benefits

  • Non-Recurring Pay: 8% of base salary in Non-Recurring Pay (distributed as 4% on November paycheck and 4% on May paycheck)
