About The Position

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Department of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time faculty member at any academic rank to join our growing division. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, including both functional and cosmetic procedures, facial trauma, head and neck reconstruction, and general otolaryngology–head and neck surgery. Our department is deeply committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, research, and community service.

Requirements

M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
Completion of a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (or equivalent).
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska prior to start date.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, program development, quality improvement, and innovation in care delivery.

Nice To Haves

Development of programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender-affirming surgery is strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

Provide medical and surgical care for cosmetic and reconstructive conditions of the face, including but not limited to: Rhinoplasty, Facelift and Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty, Otoplasty, Facial reconstruction following Mohs surgery.
Develop programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender-affirming surgery.
Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
Participate in didactic and formal lecture activities.
Contribute to the academic and research missions of the department.
