About The Position

Provide equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC maintenance, repair, and support for assigned service calls. The role involves driving independently to stores, completing preventive maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting systems and equipment, navigating electronic controls, and replacing compressors, large motors, and components. The technician maintains parts inventory, completes repair and purchasing documentation, and communicates with store personnel about equipment use. The position also includes operating vehicles and equipment safely, supporting other skilled trades technicians, providing input to management, auditing equipment lists, and coaching and training technicians. Requirements

Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Advanced technical training or related technical certifications.
Supervisory experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
5–7 years of proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance.
EPA Type 2 Certification.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to use control manufacturers' software.
Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
Demonstrated mentoring and training experience.
Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Ability to manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively.
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures, including audits, on buildings and equipment.
Repair systems and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
Perform compressor, large motor, and component replacement.
Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
Safely operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts.
Clean and maintain an assigned company service vehicle.
Communicate orally with store personnel about proper equipment use in relation to repeat calls and overtime.
Use the company email system to send and receive messages.
Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing, and usage documentation accurately and promptly.
Comply with department and company policies and procedures.
Provide input to supervisors and management on maintenance best practices.
Audit registered store equipment identification lists.
Assist other skilled trade technicians with repairs as requested.
Provide feedback on performance reviews.
Coach, mentor, and train other technicians.
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
