About The Position

Harco Fittings, a member of the IPEX group of companies, is seeking a Fabricator for its facility in Janesville, WI. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and preparing parts for fabrication operations, as well as performing fabrication, assembly, and packaging. Harco Fittings has locations across seven states and is part of the Aliaxis group, which focuses on designing sustainable solutions for water challenges and accelerating the transition to clean energy. Aliaxis is committed to sustainability, with goals for carbon reduction and increased recycled content in products by 2025.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided.
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic math.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn.
  • Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful.
  • After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures.
  • Obtain components from stock/production.
  • Set-up equipment to match product requirements.
  • Inspect completed parts.
  • Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets.
  • Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed.
  • Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects.
  • Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training.
  • Maintain a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training.
  • Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory.
  • Completing and maintaining reports for managers as required, which may include: Production reports, Scrap reports.
  • Other duties may be assigned when applicable.
