About The Position

Harco Fittings, a member of the IPEX group of companies, is a producer of gasketed joint injection-molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings. With locations spanning seven states, Harco Fittings is seeking new individuals to join their dynamic and growing team. This role is based in Janesville, WI and reports to the Plant Manager. The hours are Monday-Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. The starting wage is $21.71 per hour. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided.
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic math.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn.
  • Good team player, including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful.
  • After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures.
  • Obtain components from stock/production.
  • Set-up equipment to match product requirements.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Inspect completed parts.
  • Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets.
  • Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed.
  • Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects.
  • Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training.
  • Maintain a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training.
  • Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory.
  • Complete and maintain reports for managers as required, which may include production reports and scrap reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
