Requirements

Ability to operate the Punch Press.
Excellent math skills.
Ability to distinguish the various thicknesses and types of material.
Ability to use Caliper and thickness gauges.
Ability to use Foam Cavity thickness go/no-go gauges.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment.
Ability to complete paperwork required by operations.
Ability to read measuring devices.
Ability to use basic hand tools.
Be adaptable enough to learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels.
Must follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities.
Cross train in other classifications.
Lift up to 50 pounds frequently during an 8-hour work shift.
Bend, stoop, push, and pull in a busy work environment for up to an 8-hour work shift.
Climb a ladder and/ or scaffolding frequently during an 8-hour work shift.
Stand for up to an 8-hour work shift.
Grip, manipulate, and hold small parts with fingers.
Hear different types of sound/decibels/tone such as alarms, sirens, and/or mechanical equipment.
See without visual impairments (depth, peripheral, color and acuity 20/40 or better).

Responsibilities

Process sheets of raw material through the machines to produce high quality flat blank components and prepare loads of components for downstream operations.
Operate the Punch Press.
Distinguish the various thicknesses and types of material.
Use Caliper and thickness gauges.
Use Foam Cavity thickness go/no-go gauges.
Read and understand blueprints.
Complete paperwork required by operations.
Read measuring devices.
Use basic hand tools.
Learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels.
Follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities.
Cross train in other classifications.
