About The Position

L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. L.E. Smith is looking for a 1ST Shift Fabricator. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files.

Requirements

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to read prints, a tape measure, and operate hand tools.
Good Attendance
An ability to understand shop drawings, schematic diagrams.
Physical stamina to stand for long period of time.
Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery
May require moving material up to 70 lbs.
Requires good physical dexterity, as well as eye/hand coordination to operate tools.
High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

1-3 years fabrication experience desired, or those with experience in detail focused trades (finished carpentry, auto repair) or time spent playing music or producing art do well in this role!
