About The Position
Pellitteri Waste Systems is seeking a full-time Fabricator for their maintenance welding shop. The role involves performing welding and electrical repair on various equipment such as containers, compactors, carts, and trailers. The fabricator will also be responsible for cutting and fabricating steel components, replacing hydraulic parts, preparing containers for sandblasting and painting, and assisting with inventory control. The position requires adaptability to different work environments and maintaining a safe, clean workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in the necessary welding techniques
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and strong attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- Wisconsin Drivers License is required
Nice To Haves
- Prior compactor maintenance experience is preferred
- CDL A or B is helpful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and electrical repair of containers, compactors, carts, trailers, etc.
- Weld steel components, along with replacing hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and fittings
- Cut steel and fabricate steel components specifically for compactors
- Prepare containers to be sand blasted and painted
- Assist the Manager with inventory control on all PWS, Inc. equipment at storage lots e.g., unload steel deliveries
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards
