About The Position

The Fabricator/Installer is responsible for safely and accurately fabricating items to the work order within specified shop tolerances and installing interior finishes per customer specifications. The Fabricator/Installer must install work orders per the Project Manager's schedule, document site conditions daily, and maintain their install van, tools, and supplies.

Requirements

  • Read all notes and drawings on work orders to fabricate items to shop tolerances.
  • Read a tape measure accurately to 1/16" and use a square or tape to square up tops.
  • Operate power tools, including routers, table saws, chop saws, and sanders.
  • Quality check own work and the work of the person before you, verifying color, cutout location, and top size before proceeding.
  • Palletize finished Label IDs for storage so Project Managers and Project Planners can locate completed items.
  • Account for all items on the delivery ticket when receiving a delivery.
  • Install work orders per plans, specifications, and the PM schedule.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Work from ladders and lifts as needed.
  • Keep daily logs of work performed, delays, extra work, change order work, site conditions, and time tracking.
  • Remove all scrap/waste and broom sweep or vacuum work areas as needed.
  • Maintain install van, including oil changes, tires, and repairs, and keep it stocked with needed tools and supplies.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Keep work area clean and safe.
  • Wear required PPE at all times.
  • Lift at least 50 pounds independently.
  • Stand for extended periods in a shop environment with noise and dust.
