Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Fabricator with a background in assembly and manufacturing to perform various metal assembly functions. This role involves operating fabrication tools, cleaning parts, and contributing to manufacturing responsibilities as assigned. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Able to stand or sit for long periods at a time
  • Willing and able to follow both verbal and written work instructions
  • Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
  • Mechanical Aptitude – demonstrated examples (on the job or outside of work) showing competency to work with hands. Might include items such as body work skills, crate repair, general wrenching ability, construction work, etc.
  • Manual Dexterity – Ability to perform a job that requires detailed handwork
  • Experience with Process Standards – Demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute to written instruction
  • Computer Skills – experience with entering and retrieving data from a computer
  • Applied Learning - Assimilates and applies new job-related information in a timely manner.
  • Contributes to Team Success – Actively participates as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various metal assembly functions such as: riveting, drilling, countersinking, grinding, shearing, fabricating, etc.
  • Operating fabrication tools such as shears, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
  • Sand and deburr metal parts.
  • Utilize parts washers to clean and dry piece parts and small tubular assemblies.
  • Other manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.
