About The Position

This role involves assembly, forming, finishing, material removal, inspection, rework, and repair of components and parts according to customer specifications. It also includes maintenance of various equipment and systems, fabrication of temporary tooling, and first-level maintenance. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and is subject to DOT regulations, including random drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in manufacturing
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Ability to be certified to operate a forklift
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, sufficient to understand and effectively follow written safety procedures, company policies, work instructions, and operations manuals
Reliable and satisfactory attendance

Experience working with Titanium parts

Experience working with hazardous materials and/or chemicals
Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting safety, quality, and technical issues with co-workers, quality, and engineering functions
Willingness to work in a repetitive production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality, and schedule requirements

Responsibilities

Identifies and evaluates patterns, determining the method to remove material to meet customer specifications.
Operates handheld air-powered tools such as grinders, sanders, and deburring tools.
Follows standard operating procedures to achieve desired results in a timely manner while meeting all quality aspects.
Performs surface finishing processes including blending and sanding parts.
Fills out or stamps approval of process-related documentation.
Maintains records associated with periodic maintenance and orders spare/replacement parts.
Maintains a clean work environment, including assigned storage and cleaning duties in compliance with company, customer, and government regulations.
Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture that supports the Company's overall business objectives and goals, focusing on cost, quality, process, schedule, and people.
Ensures the company's commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and protecting the environment.
Complies with the GKN Aerospace, Inc. Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government.
Performs other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
