About The Position

MAAC is seeking an experienced fabricator/welder with the potential to advance into a leadership position. This role primarily involves constructing machine frames and components from structural steel, and subsequently disassembling completed machines for transport. The work includes MIG welding and fabricating machine frames and components ranging from light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube, flat bar, and I-Beam. Specific fabrication tasks include building industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, and catwalks. The position also requires grinding and finishing completed products, performing quality checks, installing finished components, and disassembling machines for painting and shipping. Material handling using sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes is also part of the role. The typical workload is approximately 80% fabrication and 20% welding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of fabrication experience with various metals.
  • MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and cranes.

Responsibilities
