About The Position

The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for welding, joining, and cutting metal and other materials to create a wide range of structures. This role requires following engineering plans, drawings, and instructions, as well as cutting materials to specific shapes and verifying dimensions and thickness. The technician will also perform other related duties within the Maintenance department as assigned.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years’ experience
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welding / joining & cutting metal and other materials into a wide range of structures.
• Hands on experience on Mig welding, Tig welding & stick/rod welding.
• Follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions.
• Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thickness.
• Performs other related duties in the Maintenance department as assigned.
