About The Position

Fabrication Technician works in Fabriction_ reporting to Fab Manager. This role assists in the production of custom aluminum marine towers and related components. The focus is on cutting, bending, and preparing aluminum parts to specification, performing light welding, and operating fabrication equipment. The Fab Tech will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read measurements and work accurately with tape measures and fabrication tools.
• Comfortable operating basic shop machinery and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work from shop drawings or templates.
• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of workplace safety standards.

• Knowledge of boating components or marine systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut aluminum tubing and plate materials according to specifications and measurements.
• Bend aluminum components using shop equipment and bending tools.
• Perform light welding and tack welding to assist with tower assembly.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, tube benders, drill presses, and other light machinery.
• Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and templates.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare aluminum parts for assembly or welding.
• Assist with assembly of marine towers and related components.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on fabricated parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to identify and resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and 5S standards.
• Accurately and promptly record completed work, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
• Additional duties as assigned.
