About The Position

This position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and is responsible for setting up daily work according to the production schedule, communicating with and motivating the fabrication team, distributing employee assignments, training new hires and cross-training existing employees, serving as the first point of contact for inquiries regarding the fabrication process, providing feedback on employee performance, organizing and conducting shift-crossover meetings, and overseeing cleanliness and safety in the work area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess working knowledge of all equipment in the Fabrication Department
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to read and analyze quality documents, technical procedures, work orders, schematics, blue prints, and drawings
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and convey them to others in English
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
• Proficient computer skills
