Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of proven experience in metal fabrication and surface finishing.
Hands-on proficiency with fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, MIG welders, presses, and bending machines.
Strong attention to detail and precision in handling and finishing metal surfaces.
Ability to apply vinyl wraps, coatings, and protective materials accurately.
Familiarity with surface preparation techniques and finishing tools.
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for equipment maintenance and repairs.
Ability to perform precise fabrication work.

Nice To Haves

Experience with vehicle wraps or signage installation.
Knowledge of CAD drawings or fabrication plans.
Certification in welding or fabrication (a plus).
Experience with brands like 3M or Avery Dennison materials.

Responsibilities

Oversee and execute the refurbishment of ice machine bins, ensuring quality standards are met.
Operate fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, MIG welders, presses, and bending machines.
Prepare, handle, and finish metal surfaces, including cleaning, shaping, and applying protective coatings.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or polishing.
Measure, cut, and apply vinyl wraps or protective films to metal or vehicle surfaces.
Inspect surfaces for imperfections before and after wrapping or finishing.
Use tools such as heat guns, squeegees, grinders, and cutting equipment.
Perform metal fabrication tasks (cutting, bending, shaping) when required.
Ensure wraps are applied smoothly without bubbles, wrinkles, or misalignment.
Remove and replace old wraps or coatings safely.
Follow safety procedures when working with tools, chemicals, and machinery.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Ensure proper surface preparation and finishing techniques are followed.
Support continuous improvement of fabrication processes and quality control.
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.
