About The Position

The Moore's Electrical and Mechanical VDC/OSC department offers comprehensive MEP fabrication and prefabrication services for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across Virginia and North Carolina. As a Fabrication Specialist, you play a crucial role in the prefabrication process, specializing in the manufacturing and assembly of pipes for commercial and industrial applications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Fabrication experience with a concentration in MIG welding carbon plate, angle and tube
• Working knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing processes
• Proficient with metal fabrication tools including, but not limited to drill press, metal brake and shear, iron worker, plasma cutter, grinder, sanders, polishers, etc.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Extensive understanding of all construction project paperwork to include drawings, specs, etc.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work individually with a teamwork mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; works well with individuals at all levels of the business
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
• Lifting as much as 85 pounds

Nice To Haves

• 2-year technical diploma
• Forklift operating experience/license
• Willing to work a weekend shift
