Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working in a scenic, carpentry, or fabrication shop. (Required)
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability to: Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.
  • Work as a team and/or independently.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and equipment, including machines, presses and forming equipment.
  • References work instructions and reviews print specifications to determine proper materials and machine set-up and/or adjustment to accomplish production requirements.
  • Perform Component operation modifications and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review and interpret technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and feasibility of fabrication processes.
  • Recommend improvements to fabrication processes, techniques, and equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assisting in other manufacturing departments where necessary.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors, to coordinate fabrication activities and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Handling, cutting, welding, and assembling materials.
  • Perform precision measurements and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”
  • Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.
  • Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required. It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed.
  • Stay updated on advancements in fabrication technologies, materials, and techniques through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
