About The Position

This role involves document control within a fabrication quality setting, requiring a strong understanding of industrial pipe fitting and fabrication processes. The position demands the ability to read and interpret blueprints, understand pipe fitting procedures, and possess good leadership and communication skills. Experience on industrial construction projects is essential. The role also includes significant physical requirements such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50lbs, along with the need for manual dexterity and the use of hands and arms for various tasks.

Requirements

• 4+ years working as an Industrial Pipe Fitter Fabricator.
• Ability to read prints and illustrate thorough knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Experience on an industrial construction project.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturers manuals and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
• Install valves, hangars, supports, and flanges inside piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications.
• Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
