About The Position

Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, Iowa, is seeking individuals interested in working part-time in our Quality Assurance department as Fabrication Quality Assurance Technician. This is a safety sensitive, on-site position.

Requirements

• Available to work Monday, Friday, and Saturday.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP Process (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Experience with email communications.
• Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not provided).

Nice To Haves

• Beef products knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring product quality.
• Inspecting various pieces of meat for adherence to specifications at the end of production lines.
• Knowing the product specifications for the line they are working on and filling out an audit report form.
• Following and helping enforce plant Good Manufacturing Procedures and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
• Metal detector auditing and testing trim for E.coli, via N60 sampling.
• Other duties as assigned.
