About The Position

This is a full-time position in the Fabrication department of the GOP plant. Applicants will be expected to perform various jobs, including working in cold temperatures (near or below freezing, 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit), areas with unpleasant odors, and damp conditions. The role requires lifting, pulling, and/or pushing up to 50 lbs, with some specific positions requiring up to 100 lbs. Employees must be available for all scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, and overtime, and be able to work in fast-paced, bloody areas with repetitive hand and body movements. Rotation between jobs is expected. The essential functions involve cutting, trimming, fabricating, and packaging beef products on a production line, using knives, hooks, or powered equipment. The work environment is cold (less than 45 degrees Fahrenheit) and damp, physically demanding, and requires adherence to all humane handling, sanitary dressing, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Must be over the age of 18.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Able to stand entire shift on concrete floors and/or elevated platforms.
Able to lift, pull, push, or carry up to 50 lbs for knife positions and 100 lbs for non-knife positions.
Willing to work with sharp knives, some power equipment and/or saws.
Able to work at a steady pace.
Experience repetitive hand and wrist motion and grasping.
Experience reaching for products on the conveyor belt with hooks, reaching for boxes or bags.
Constant standing on concrete floors or elevated platforms.
Ability to work while wearing PPE including a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, face mask & face shield, steel-toed rubber boots or closed-toe shoes, a frock, and multiple layers of gloves.
Report to work every day at the scheduled start time.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, fabricate, and package beef products in a production line setting.
Use a knife and hook to bone out or trim large pieces of product.
Operate powered equipment such as saws or wizard knives.
Adhere to all humane handling procedures, sanitary dressing, and safety practices.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Rotate between jobs as expected.
