Fabrication Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Southern Specialties is looking for a Fabrication Operator to work at our climate-controlled facility, where components for sheet metal products are produced. Fabrication Operators will primarily be utilizing saws, drills, mills, taps, and other sanding, cutting, deburring, and grinding equipment to finish parts coming off the laser operator's table and moving the completed part to the next operation. We are looking for someone that is detail oriented and knows how to utilize hand/power tools. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Press Brakes and other metal forming machines and equipment. The hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 2:00am.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a fabrication environment preferred
- Proficient with measuring equipment including Height Gauge, Calipers, Tape Measure, Squares, Angle Finders
- Proficiency with Blueprints and Work Instructions
- Experience with industrial machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of basic shop math
- Prior experience in metal fabrication
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Press Brakes and other metal forming machines and equipment
