About The Position

Atkore is seeking a Fabrication Operator I to work in Weatherford, Texas. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the operator runs fabrication machines and saws, primarily bending pipe by loading it into the machine or connecting it to the bender. The operator monitors product specifications and quality while working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Within the first three months, the operator is expected to understand the company’s safety culture, learn the basic duties of the job, and understand how to progress to the next operator level.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic math skills for accurate counting and calculations.

Responsibilities

Run various saws and machines in Fabrication.
Load pipe into machines.
Stack finished products on pallets according to the packaging standard.
Band completed pallets.
Check pipe angles using the angle table.
Cut boards to size for pipe packaging.
Follow safety procedures for each machine, including awareness of E-Stops and pinch points.
Inform the Shift Lead of possible safety infractions.
Notify forklift personnel or the Shift Lead when fabrication stock is running low.
Frequently check cut lengths for deviations from specifications.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the shift.
